Brief morning City tour and lunch in Carnivore restaurant. After lunch drive north from Nairobi to the beautiful Lake Naivasha on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Here you have activity options of golf on a beautiful 18 hole golf course, bird walks, horse riding, or a boat cruise on the lake to see. Dinner and overnight at the country Golf Club styled Rift Valley Golf Club.

After breakfast you will drive past Mount Kenya to the Samburu game reserve crossing over scenic green wooded highlands before dropping thousands of feet to semi arid riverine scrubland. This reserve is situated in the dry area of northern Kenya, home to nomadic Samburu and Rendille that live with their cattle. After lunch you will encounter the rich diversity of wildlife in the Samburu game reserve. Before sunset you return to the casual colonial elegance of the small Larsens Camp situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river. Dinner and overnight in Larsens Camp.

After breakfast you will have a full day for game viewing in the Samburu reserve, home to the rare species of Grevy’s zebra, long necked gerenuk, the shy oryx beisa and the reticulated giraffe. You drive along the curves of the Ewaso Nyiro river, the only source of water for this dry area, following the cool green riverine forest of doum palms, acacia and tamarind. Dinner and overnight in Larsens camp or similar. The game viewing at Samburu is amongst the best in Kenya.

After breakfast in your Camp you will leave Samburu on the road journey to Nairobi, climbing the high
escarpment as you cross the equator and heading south through green hills and coffee plantations and into Nairobi around midday to end your safari.
