Safari Briefings
Southern Sky Safaris' staff meet clients arriving at Nairobi, Mombasa and
Malindi airports to help with arrival and departure formalities and onward
flight reservations. After arrival at their hotel, all clients are briefed
by a representative from Southern Sky Safaris about local customs, currency
and general advice.
Communications
A 24 hour telephone contact is available in case of emergencies occurring
outside normal office hours. On safari your vehicle has 2 way H.F.
communications with our main offices via the workshop.
Code of Conduct
Southern Sky Safaris is a member of the Kenya Association of Tour Operators
and all our driver-guides are trained to understand and comply with the
code of conduct for driving inside game parks, not to crowd predators, feed
animals or indulge in irresponsible driving or cause litter.
Contract terms and conditions
Your holiday will be contracted with agreed terms and conditions.
Insurances
You are advised to purchase travel insurance which is readily available
from multi sources.
Personal service and quality control
• Representatives for your convenience at airports, towns and beach
resorts.
• Multi lingual guides - English, Italian. Also German and French speaking
available by arrangement.
• Courteous, punctual, professional.
• Regular reviews of vehicles and services such as accommodation, flights,
driver/guides and representatives.
• On request we display your logo at airport desks, on safari vehicles, and
provide our staff with your company badge.
The Flying Doctor Service
By joining the Flying Doctors' Society you can help the service reach the
people who need it most and also ensure yourself a fast response and free
emergency evacuation flight should the worst happen on your travels. Cost
is $ 20 per person.
Local Evacuation and Ambulance
Through KATO and the African Air Rescue (AAR) you may take out a local
accident medical coverage for road and air evacuation. The cost is $14 per
person. We recommend this as it covers 24hour coverage from anywhere in
Kenya and Tanzania.
