Our scheduled safaris in Kenya begin from either
Nairobi or the coast and combinations of both are possible. We also have
safaris starting from Arusha, Tanzania. They may be booked by individuals
or couples willing to share with a group. For the first time visitor the
‘seat in vehicle’ safari is an inexpensive and convenient choice.
Our scheduled safaris are designed for a balance of comfort and interest.
We also select camps and lodges that provide good value for money with high
standards of customer care.
All scheduled safaris may be customised for a group booking with agreed
alterations and thereafter the vehicle and driver-guide are for your
exclusive group.
You may start and end your holiday at Nairobi. Some Nairobi safaris,
however, are designed to end at the coast thus eliminating the need for a
separate transfer to the beaches. Or you may first holiday at the beach.
The Kenya Coast is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing with some very high
standards of customer care. Your safari then starts from the coast. Another
option is to book a Nairobi itinerary and fly by domestic airline from
Mombasa early in the morning to eliminate Day One of the Nairobi Itinerary.
Southern Sky will provide either Minibus or 4X4 Toyota Land Cruiser.
The 4X4 Land Cruiser is a more expensive option but has a more ‘safari’
feel and is a genuine off-road vehicle. All have pop-up roofs or lifting
hatches, toughened suspension, water coolers for soft drinks, binoculars
plus regional animal and bird guide books.
Air safaris provide comfort and save time. Combination road/air safaris
give the best of both worlds. We can also design a tailor made safari just
for you. These are generally more complex and may include stays at luxury
camps or exclusive conservancies and therefore require arranging well in
advance.
